The Forest Fern
One of the very best parts of my business is the joy of connecting with other artists, makers and entrepreneurs. These connections bring me inspiration, understanding and unparalleled support. I've discovered some of my very favorite things by shopping small including perfect everyday essentials.
About a year ago I bought my first bar of handmade soap from David of @viechevre. I'll admit it, I was pretty skeptical at first. I've tried a lot of "sensitive skin" soaps over the years. But let me tell you my friends, I'm completely and totally hooked! Made from raw natural ingredients including locally sourced goats milk, Vie Chèvre is "Soap Made Simple". This is what I use each and everyday. It's so easy for me to share this with you because it's truly one of those little things that brightens up my routine. A ritual that is so joyful in its simplicity.
If you're local to the Harrisburg, Pa area you can visit David at his shop at the historic @broadstreetmarket or you check out his online shop - link though the @viechevre profile. A few of my other favs here - beautiful wood pinch bowl by @nershiwoodworks and spoon by the amazing @thestellabluegallery #communityovercompetition#calledtobecreative #theforestfern
Customer Melissa Behm
I picked up the DeToxic soap for my daughter. When she was little, she had beautiful skin. Once she hit middle school, those days were over. She has been in a perpetual fight against acne - using everything from over the counter acne creams to prescription medication. I had just about given up the fight when I found this soap @enchantedeveninggiftshop. Three weeks later, and I can't stop talking about it. Every day I look at her, I am amazed at the difference. Her skin is clear...finally! She uses it as a face soap but also on her back and chest. For the first time in a long time, she is able to wear tank tops & cami tops - she'll never put on a strapless anything but she could now, all thanks to the Detoxic bar soap! For her 18th birthday, she will finally smile for the camera instead of hiding from it.
